Privacy Policy for Taptagon
Effective date: September 23, 2026
Taptagon is an arcade game provided by DANZ L.L.C. ("DANZ L.L.C.," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use Taptagon or visit its public privacy and support pages.
This policy covers Taptagon versions 1.0 and 1.1. Features identified as beginning with version 1.1 apply only when that version is installed.
The short version
- You do not need a DANZ L.L.C. account to play.
- Most game records and settings stay on your device.
- Apple Game Center provides survival and score leaderboards for eligible signed-in players.
- Eligible players can choose to watch one rewarded ad for one Continue during a run. Taptagon requests Google Limited Ads, not personalized ads.
- Taptagon does not ask for a birth date or exact age. Age Assurance uses a broad age range from Apple or, for eligible new players, a range they choose in the app. You can see the source and resulting access from Age Assurance on Home or in the Privacy menu.
- Taptagon does not request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites through Apple's App Tracking Transparency system.
For information about Google's handling of advertising data, see Google's Business Data Responsibility page.
Information kept on your device
Taptagon stores information needed to run the game. This includes settings, tutorial progress, whether the Age Assurance introduction has been completed, the age-check method used by the installation, local records, gameplay statistics, Continue history, and limited state used to manage native App Store review requests. If the app offers you an in-app age choice, it also stores that broad choice locally. It does not persist an age range received from Apple. When Game Center is available, the app also keeps limited local state needed to associate cached or pending leaderboard results with the current Game Center player.
The app does not send these local gameplay records to a DANZ L.L.C. game server. DANZ L.L.C. does not operate a Taptagon account system.
The in-app Reset Device Records action clears device bests, run totals and averages, kills, bosses, close saves, and Continue totals. It does not reset every app setting or delete information controlled by Apple or Google. Deleting Taptagon normally removes information stored in the app's local container.
Apple Game Center
If you are signed into Game Center and the applicable age route permits online services, Taptagon uses Game Center to submit your best survival time and highest score and show leaderboard information. The app may receive a Game Center player identifier, score, rank, participant count, and nearby scores or milestones.
Apple controls Game Center account information and leaderboard records. Resetting Taptagon's device records does not erase either Game Center record. Taptagon does not receive your Apple ID password.
See Game Center and Privacy and Apple's Privacy Policy.
Age-range handling
Taptagon requires iOS 26.2 or later. The in-app age-choice method described here is available beginning with version 1.1; version 1.0 uses Apple's method. Before accessing Google advertising services or Game Center, Taptagon obtains a usable age result. Before offering or reusing an in-app age choice, it checks which age requirements Apple reports for the account. Players upgrading from version 1.0 keep the Apple age-check method. For eligible new players, when Apple reports no applicable requirement, the app instead offers four equal choices: Under 13, 13–15, 16–17, or 18+. There is no preselected answer. A choice made in the app is self-declared; it is not age verification by Apple.
When the Apple method applies, Taptagon requests an age range through Apple's Declared Age Range service. Apple may show its age-sharing screen or provide a range according to the account's existing settings. Taptagon does not receive a birth date or identity document. The resulting age category and access mode are used in memory for the current launch, rather than saved in persistent app records. Apple controls its own account information and remembered sharing settings.
When you choose a range in the app, Taptagon remembers that broad choice on the device so you do not need to answer on each launch. It checks Apple's applicable requirements again before relying on the choice. The choice is an installation setting, not proof of who is using a shared device. It does not automatically change as time passes and cannot be replaced with a different answer through an in-app retry. If an Apple check becomes required or is attempted, the app removes the saved choice and keeps using the Apple method. Declining or failing an Apple request does not unlock a replacement age choice.
Age Assurance on Home and the Age Assurance section of the Privacy menu show the result and whether it came from Apple or your in-app choice. Taptagon uses the result to apply these settings:
- Under 13: gameplay and records remain local. Taptagon does not access Google advertising services or Game Center and provides the one available Continue without an ad.
- Ages 13–15: Game Center is available, and eligible ads use Google's more protective child-directed ad-request setting. Personalized advertising remains disabled.
- Ages 16–17: Game Center is available, and eligible ads use Google's teen ad treatment. Personalized advertising remains disabled.
- Ages 18 and older: Game Center and the general-audience Limited Ads setup are available. Personalized advertising remains disabled.
- Unresolved requirements or age: if a check fails, is declined or unavailable, or cannot be interpreted safely, Taptagon does not access Google or Game Center and does not offer a Continue. Local play and records remain available after the check ends.
A blocked result can be retried from Age Assurance on Home before Google or Game Center has been accessed in that launch and when no run or Continue decision is active. A usable age result cannot be replaced through a retry during the same launch. To correct an in-app choice or update it as you get older, open Age Assurance and select Check with Apple Next Launch. This removes the saved choice and switches permanently to the Apple method after you fully close Taptagon from the App Switcher and reopen it. Current-session settings remain unchanged until then. Changes to Apple's sharing settings also take effect after fully closing and reopening the app.
For eligible players, Taptagon applies Limited Ads settings and the applicable protective ad-request settings before accessing Google. Google receives the applicable child or teen treatment setting with ad requests. Providing an age result does not enable personalized advertising or mean that you have chosen to watch an ad.
Google Limited Ads and rewarded ads
For a player whose age route permits advertising, Taptagon applies its Limited Ads settings and age-appropriate ad treatment before starting Google Mobile Ads. The app may then keep one rewarded ad ready. This can happen before the player decides whether to watch it. An ad is shown only after the player taps the clearly labeled Continue option. Taptagon does not use Google's User Messaging Platform to collect advertising consent or privacy choices.
For players using a permitted in-app age choice that allows advertising, ad preparation may start before Game Center sign-in finishes. It still follows the age check and Limited Ads settings. An ad is shown only when the player chooses the rewarded Continue.
Taptagon offers at most one Continue in a run. For an ad-supported Continue, the Continue is granted only after Google reports that the reward was earned. If the ad does not load, does not open, or closes before the reward is earned, Taptagon grants nothing and may allow another attempt. Taptagon does not show forced interstitial ads or ads during active gameplay in version 1.
Taptagon is configured to request Google Limited Ads. The app disables ad personalization, publisher first-party identifiers, and Google Mobile Ads SDK crash reporting. It also enables restricted data processing and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. These settings reduce data use, but they do not mean that Google processes no information.
Depending on the device, region, ad, and current behavior by Google or its authorized advertising partners, advertising services may process:
- an IP address and general location inferred from it;
- device, operating-system, app, and network information;
- ad delivery and interaction information, such as impressions, clicks, and video views;
- performance and diagnostic information; and
- fraud-prevention and security signals.
Google's SDK declares that it can process device identifiers. Google's Limited Ads mode disables personalization and features that require a local identifier. Taptagon also enables Programmatic Limited Ads, which means Google and authorized buyers may use fraud-detection-only cookies or local storage to protect against invalid traffic and abuse.
For details, see Google Limited Ads, Google's explanation for partner apps and sites, and Google's Privacy Policy.
For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Taptagon uses Google's automatically maintained commonly used advertising-partner list, which names these partners and links to their privacy information. Actual participation depends on the applicable privacy, age and advertising settings.
Advertising privacy information and choices
Taptagon uses the same Limited Ads configuration wherever it is used, including the EEA, UK, Switzerland and US states. It does not offer a consent form to turn on personalized advertising or the sale or sharing of information for interest-based advertising. The app does not use Google's privacy-options or privacy-check retry screens. Privacy & Ads on Home provides this policy and the third-party licenses.
A player can always decline the optional ad and continue using the game without that Continue. As described above, an ad may be loaded before that decision. You can use the provider links and privacy-request contact described in this policy to exercise applicable choices and rights.
Public website and email
Cloudflare hosts and protects Taptagon's public privacy and support pages and processes technical request and security information needed to provide those pages. This may include an IP address, requested page, browser, device, operating system, approximate country, referral information, and timestamps.
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate website use and performance without analytics cookies, local storage, or individual fingerprinting. The Taptagon pages do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or an online contact form.
If you email DANZ L.L.C., DANZ L.L.C. and Google Workspace process the address, message, headers, and attachments you choose to send so we can respond and keep necessary records. Your own email provider may also process that message under your relationship with that provider.
How information is used
The information described above is used to:
- operate the game and remember local settings and progress;
- provide Game Center leaderboards;
- apply age-appropriate and region-appropriate online-service and ad settings;
- provide privacy information and the optional rewarded Continue;
- deliver ads and protect against fraud, invalid traffic, and abuse;
- diagnose service or performance problems;
- operate and protect the public website;
- answer support and privacy messages; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Third-party services and disclosures
Taptagon uses Apple for Game Center, Google and authorized ad partners for eligible Limited Ads and the optional rewarded Continue, Cloudflare for the public pages, and Google Workspace for email sent to DANZ L.L.C.
DANZ L.L.C. confirms that third parties receiving user data through Taptagon are required, through their applicable terms, policies, and configured controls, to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable App Store rules. Apple Game Center, Google AdMob, and some authorized advertising partners may process information as independent controllers under their own terms and privacy policies. Those terms and policies also govern their independent processing activities.
These companies may process information in countries other than the one where you live. DANZ L.L.C. may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Local Taptagon information remains on the device until it is cleared by the relevant in-app action or the app's local data is removed. Game Center records and Google-managed privacy or advertising information are retained under those companies' policies and account controls.
A broad age range chosen in the app remains in local app settings until the installation switches to Apple's method or the app's local data is removed. The saved choice and age-check method are not cleared by Reset Device Records. An age result received from Apple is not saved in persistent app records. Deleting the app normally removes its local settings; backups or device restoration may restore saved settings. DANZ L.L.C. does not operate a server holding these local age choices.
DANZ L.L.C. ordinarily keeps support, privacy-request, and complaint correspondence for up to four years after the matter closes. It may keep records longer when reasonably necessary for an active dispute, investigation, accounting requirement, or legal obligation. Any temporary user-level export created to handle a request is deleted within 30 days after the matter closes unless preservation is legally required. Other security, accounting, and legal records are kept only as long as reasonably needed. Cloudflare and Google Workspace retain information under their applicable settings, terms, and policies. The ordinary correspondence period does not apply to a message known to be from a child under 13; those messages are handled as described in Children.
Your choices and requests
You can:
- decline the optional rewarded ad;
- open Privacy & Ads on Home to review this policy and the third-party licenses;
- manage relevant settings through iOS, your Apple account, and Google;
- reset the local career records identified by Reset Device Records;
- delete the app to remove its local app data; and
- contact DANZ L.L.C. with a privacy question or request.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you rights concerning personal information. Email contact@danzllc.com with the subject Privacy Request or Privacy Complaint and explain what you need. DANZ L.L.C. will request only the information reasonably needed to understand and verify the request.
Because DANZ L.L.C. does not operate a Taptagon account system, it may not hold information that can be matched directly to you. Requests about Apple or Google account information may need to be made through those companies.
Online tracking disclosure
Taptagon does not enable personalized advertising and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission. Google and authorized ad partners may process the limited ad-delivery information described above under their own policies. DANZ L.L.C. does not use that information to create its own advertising profile of a player.
The public Taptagon pages do not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising. Because those pages do not perform browser-based cross-site tracking, changing a browser's Do Not Track signal does not change their behavior. We will update this disclosure if those practices change.
Children
Taptagon is a general-audience game intended for players age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not ask for a birth date or exact age.
When the applicable age result identifies a player as under 13, whether supplied by Apple or chosen in the app, Taptagon keeps play local, does not access Google or Game Center, and provides the one Continue without an ad. An unresolved requirement or age result also keeps play local, with no Google or Game Center access and no Continue unless a later permitted retry supplies a usable result, as described under Age-range handling.
If a support or privacy message tells us that its sender is under 13, we will either delete it without responding or use the contact information only for a one-time response and then promptly delete the message and contact information. We will not use that information to contact the child again or for another purpose unless a legal exception applies.
Security
DANZ L.L.C. uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information handled through Taptagon. No electronic system is perfectly secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at the same public URL and update its effective date. We will provide additional notice when the law requires it.
